Food Information to Consumers Regulation – what you need to know opens

Is your food and drink business fully prepared for the Food Information to Consumers Regulation, due to be enforced on December 13 2014? If not, our free, one-hour webinar on the topic will be just the information you need to check your plans against expert industry advice. The Food Manufacture Group has assembled a panel of four leading food industry experts for its webinar, sponsored by business law firm DWF, Food Information to Consumers Regulation – what you need to know. Everyone agrees this complex EU legislation will introduce sweeping changes to the law governing food labelling, setting out strict obligations for food manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies. The rules – designed to make food labelling easier to understand for consumers – will cover everything from new lists of ingredients, which include allergens, and minimum text font sizes to country of origin labelling (COOL), front-of-pack nutritional information and frozen food labelling. What is less clear is precisely what actions food and drink managers should take to ensure their businesses comply with the new legislation, due to be introduced before the end of this year. To help supply some of the answers – together with some questions food and drink managers should ask about their plans – our expert panel will update the audience on best practice.
